The CD radio was designed to give shape to the quality of the sound, and the DVD player was designed to provide an intuitive connection between the remote control and the main unit. The remote control has the same feel and buttons as the main unit, and is in the same language as the main unit. The speakers began as a project to solve the problem of CD storage. Initially, we considered designing a box for storage, but as the research progressed, the idea changed, and eventually we came up with a speaker that functions as a bookend with no limit on the number of CDs.
